Four Years and Counting

Four years ago last week, Sean and I celebrated our first day as husband and wife.  Even though we had only been engaged for six months, we dated for two-and-a half years.  I suppose it doesn't matter how long you wait to get married, it always seems like a long wait.

Look, a ring!!!
It is hard to remember what life was like then.  So much has happened since this day...

We seem so young...

I feel like I have learned a lot since that day.  And it constantly makes me realize how far I still have to go.

I am so grateful for Sean...

...of course he's not perfect, but he is gracious with me and patient with my faults.  He provides for our family through hours of tireless work and sacrifices that are invisible to everyone except him and God.  Five days a week he wakes up and drives a commute he strongly dislikes.  After a long day, he comes home, helps me around the house, plays with the kids, and then does work after we all go to bed.  He is one of the most selfless people I know.

I am excited to see how God will use Sean in the coming months and years to help me become the person I am called to be.

Marriage to you is truly a blessing, honey.  I pray for many more years with you!
